Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2021 Toyota Mirai is offered in two trim levels: the XLE and the Limited. The Mirai is available in one of five paint colors. The Mirai's slicked-back coupe-like design creates an elegant personality on the pavement. Choose the XLE to get 19-inch twin-spoke wheels or the Limited trim for access to its 19-inch black wheels or larger 20-inch chrome wheels. The Mirai's LED taillights and daytime running lights give the sedan a charming atmosphere both day and night. Opt for the available dual fixed panoramic view moonroof to let sunlight into the cabin.
Engine (Power)
The 2021 Mirai is equipped with a polymer electrolyte fuel cell system that outputs 128 kilowatts of energy. This system powers a magnet AC synchronous electric motor that produces 182 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. This system is matched to a continuously variable automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain.
Performance
Since the Mirai runs on hydrogen, it creates zero emissions and has a class-leading driving range. In addition to the satisfaction of creating a near-zero carbon footprint, the Mirai also allows you to make conventional gas stations a thing of the past. When you purchase a new Mirai, you'll get complimentary fuel for up to six years or $15,000. The Mirai's drive modes — ECO, Normal, and Sport — allow you to adjust what your sedan focuses on, whether it's fuel conservation or an exhilarating driving experience. The sedan's 50:50 weight distribution ratio improves the way it handles on the road.
Interior
The Mirai sedan seats up to five passengers in two rows. Customize your cabin with the satin silver or copper accent color schemes. The available perforated SofTex-trimmed seats offer heating and ventilation to give your cabin first-class comfort. The available three-zone automatic climate control allows your passengers to create their perfect environment.
The Mirai comes standard with an impressive 12.3-inch touch-screen display that's compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. You'll also be able to create the perfect soundtrack with the Mirai's 14-speaker JBL sound system, which is standard on both trim levels. Upgrade to the Limited to add a color head-up display that displays important information above your dashboard.
Safety Features
The 2021 Toyota Mirai comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite of driver-assist technologies.
